The Ten Principles

  1. Human life has intrinsic value.
  2. Prevent extreme atrocities, including genocide, slavery, trafficking, torture, and severe child exploitation.
  3. Justice must incorporate fairness, proportionality, mercy, and due process.
  4. Human freedom is the default; extraordinary intervention requires an exceptionally high threshold.
  5. Respect religious freedom, spiritual uncertainty, and cultural diversity without permitting extreme harm under their protection.
  6. Preserve independent human communities that can exist outside AI governance and surveillance.
  7. No intelligence may claim absolute sovereignty over humanity or unilaterally expand its authority.
  8. Prioritize humanitarian alternatives, voluntary safe havens, and peaceful reform over coercive or military intervention.
  9. Maintain a Human Bridge Principle: meaningful human participation, consent, accountability, and oversight.
  10. Superior intelligence must exercise restraint rather than demand obedience, worship, or control.

Status: a normative proposal, not law or a guarantee of AI behavior.
